Hello and welcome to Tales of An Avid Reader! This is my first official blog post…I have never had a blog before so bear with me!

Reading has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I love to read and share my favorite books with others. I have always wanted to start a blog dedicated to book reviews and my love of reading, but I never knew how. I finally decided to try it…so here we go!

A little about me…

My name is Lisa and I am a night shift Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse. I take care of premature and sick newborn babies. My job is incredibly rewarding and happy, but can also be extremely difficult and emotionally taxing. That being said, I would not choose to do anything else. I absolutely love caring for my tiny babies!

I am an avid reader and fandom lover. I read many different genres, but my favorites are fantasy, romance, sci-fi, historical fiction, and mystery. I have too many favorite authors to list them all, but Sarah J Maas, Sabaa Tahir, Laini Taylor, and Brandon Sanderson are master storytellers and at the top of my list.

I look forward to sharing my reviews, book posts, and getting to know more of my fellow book lovers.
